Tech award winners for 2011 were announced at the Spring Face2Face in Mandan on April 12.

The winner for the large school category is Irene Mohn, Technology Director from Wahpeton. Irene has been instrumental in technology in North Dakota for many years and has been an active member of NDATL since its inception.

The winner for the small school category is Larry Engel, technology facilitator from Oakes. Larry is known for his standards of excellence, organization, and dependability.

The teacher techie of the year is Tammi Bradley,  South Prairie School District. Tammi is  a departmentalized language arts teacher who has been instrumental in implementing two major technology projects in her school.

Congratulations to all the winners and the nominees!

We are excited about our new location, the Seven Seas in Mandan,  for the Spring Face2Face! The social begins at 7 today, April 11, and runs until 9:30 tonight. What a great opportunity for our members to visit with the vendors and see the new products they have available for you! The vendor names are listed on the right side of the home page. Face2Face is only about 10 days away! Thanks to all of you who have registered and submitted your payments already. Nearly 150 of the best and brightest are attending. For those of you who haven’t found the time to register yet, here is another reason to get that taken care of!

WebQuests 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0

Bernie Dodge, the father of the WebQuest model, will share his thoughts about the original rationale for WebQuests, the evolution of the idea over time, and the latest developments which incorporate mobile learning. Attendees will receive a free one-year subscription to QuestGarden, an online authoring tool and hosting service that makes it easy to create great WebQuests. You will also learn about Bernie Dodge’s approach to personal learning systems that is currently being taught to pre-service teachers.
